The aim of this website is to study the inexorable case for zero carbon emission travel across all six* of the world’s continents.
Just one example of how this can be accomplished is to connect America and Russia by either a bridge or tunnel. Just look at this picture and you can see how close these two nations are approximately 53 miles. Just think about how close that is? Millions of people travel 50 miles each day and think little of it. Yet two of the greatest nations on Earth are often considered as being thousands of miles apart. Correct if you are crossing via the “normal” route over the Atlantic Ocean. But what about the 53 miles across the Bering Straits? This is just one of the topics for consideration on this website.

To put this one piece USA-Russia transport for a worldwide transport jigsaw into context of the already constructed and operational Channel Tunnel between UK and Europe. The Britain to France link is 23.6 miles of sub-sea tunnel and an overall tunnel of 31 miles. Technically a Bering Strait tunnel, whilst seriously challenging to build. The 53 miles is virtually halved by the Diomede Islands so effectively having two tunnels (or a variation) that link America-via-Diomede-to-Russia would be shorter than the existing Channel Tunnel in European. A bering Strait link is certainly within the gift of the world’s engineers.
